Offering both treatments and NO HANDS courses from her base in Bridport, Dorset, Amanda Jones has been offering NO HANDS for almost a decade. In her own words…
After a move to West Dorset from Bath I was quite happy working with my partner on a day tripper boat doing 1 hour mackerel fishing trips around the bay in Lyme Regis. However, I then developed sun damage and was advised to get out of the sun. A friend was learning massage and suggested I gave it a try as a replacement career.
What first triggered your interest in NO HANDS?
I was told about NO HANDS Massage by a fellow massage therapist after I had damaged tendons in the fingers on both of my hands, once in a fall and the other tucking sheets in! I went to an introduction evening, saw a treatment, met founder Gerry Pyves and received a mini Treatment on the soles of my feet. I had never experienced touch like it…it felt like my feet had been kissed! Not literally, but I was on cloud 9. I signed up to do TRANSFORMING TOUCH that evening and have never looked back.
Everything I have learned with NO HANDS Massage has made me the person I am today.
What impact has offering NO HANDS training had on you?
Becoming an Instructor has given me the opportunity to really get to know the strokes in Transforming Touch and Practitioner inside out and back to front. It is a privilege to be connected to students who are at all different stages of their massage careers as they take the 1st steps of their NO HANDS Massage journey.
